Interested in Becoming a Member of BRBA? |
Benefits of becoming a BRBA Member:
Forms for Members:
Clerk's System/Case Management Access: To obtain full access to the Clerk's system if you are a BRBA member or an employee of a BRBA member, read the instructions and send this attorney form or employee form as applicable preferably by email to the Clerk's office. Email blueridgebarassociation@gmail.com if you have any questions or problems. Submission of the applicable form linked above which states that you will not use the Clerk's system for solicitation or other improper purposes is mandatory before you will be given a login from the Clerk's office. Currently, member attorneys and their direct staff are generally authorized to receive a login to the Clerk's system through BRBA membership; however, please note that membership in the BRBA does not guarantee access to the case management system, and access may be denied or revoked at any time, as such is in the sole discretion of the Clerk of Court based upon her office policies and procedures.
Judicial System Access Cards/Security Bypass Badges: Courthouse screening procedures have changed in recent years. Please note that rules about what items are prohibited in the courthouse remain the same. Absolutely NO weapons are allowed in the courthouse. BRBA members may review these screening by-pass forms and submit completed applications TO COURTHOUSE SECURITY as directed to obtain a "yellow badge" to by-pass security. Members must be an active member of the BRBA (must pay dues each year to BRBA officers and appear on our member list) and also must initially complete the security application in order to obtain their badge from courthouse security. Please note that BRBA officers have nothing to do with approving courthouse security applications or fingerprints, and those forms should be turned in directly to Captain Billy Sims or the commanding officer on duty at the courthouse. Beginning in 2017, members must obtain a new "membership sticker" showing that their membership is current in order to continue by-passing security. Effective as of January 1, 2019, our "operating year" has changed so that the BRBA membership dues and stickers will be valid from January 1st through December 31st of each year. If you are a current member and need a 2019 "membership sticker" for your badge, please contact one of the executive officers noted below.
